When there is a high volatility in the market, prices are rapidly changing.

Under this scenario, your online broker needs to offer you the new closest market price.

In such an event, you can either accept the new re-quoting or just reject the new price and cancel the execution of the transaction.

Another possible reason for getting re-quotes could be the possibility of having a slow or bad internet connection which can delay the transmission of orders; implying that on your trading platform you are viewing old prices instead of current market prices.

Some brokers without “re-quote”

You may be wondering why “re-quote” exists with some brokers and other brokers are not.

This “re-quote” depends on your broker, if it occurs or not.

Think of it as a kind reminder from your broker saying “I may not be able to execute your order as you wish, but a difference price, do you want me to proceed or not?”, then you can choose to accept the offer or not.

If your broker doesn’t adopt this “re-quote” rule, then your orders will be executed accordingly at anytime.

But you need to be aware that if there is no “re-quote”, then your orders can be executed with a huge slippage at a totally different price.

In order to avoid this “re-quote” you can try to:

  • Trade major currency pairs or other symbols with large liquidity available
  • Not trade during News time with high volatility
  • Upgrade your internet connection if that is the reason to cause “re-quote”

Ultimately, you can change your broker to another where “re-quote” doesn’t exist.

‘Trade Context Busy’ error on MT4. What is the reason receiving this message?

‘Trade Context Busy’ is another error message that confuses traders of MT4 and MT5.

This can happen when you have given your trading platform an additional instruction before it has completed an earlier task.

This can happen in cases where there have been multiple mouse clicks or a hyperactive Expert Advisor.

Normally, this can be resolved by restarting your trading platform.

If you are getting the error often, then you have got two thing you can do resolve the issue:

  • Try to not double click the order buttons, use EAs with scalping method
  • Upgrade your internet connections

The error message itself occurs rarely, and this is not caused by your brokers, but from the trading platform directly.
