The developer is ‘MetaQuotes’, and the company has announced that they have stopped working on updates of MetaTrader4 and now focusing on development of MetaTrader5 platform.
In 2018, MT4 still covers the majority of brokers and traders. Meanwhile, online brokers have started offering MT5 trading platform and now the number of brokers which offer MT5 platform have already exceeded one hundred.
