Question: What's the difference between Live(Real) & Demo accounts of MT5 (MetaTrader5)?
There are mainly two types of accounts for MetaTrader5, which are Demo with virtual money and Live(Real) with actual money.
Demo accounts are available for Free for anyone and it is used for practicing trading and to understand how the platform works before start trading with the real money.
In these Demo accounts with virtual money, the condition of market price movements, trading hours, margin requirements and calculation of profits and loss are the same as the real accounts.
But there is one big difference in Demo accounts from live accounts. Which is the liquidity and the depth of market.
All financial markets are created with liquidity. Without the liquidity, no one can trade.
It will decide the market movements, execution quality and also whether your order can be executed or not.
In the Demo accounts, there is no liquidity concerns at all.
Thus, all your orders will be executed instantly without a slight problem.
Your order could have been rejected or got slippage negatively in a live account, but you can execute that kind of order instantly at the exact price you have ordered.
It is important that you do not think you will see the exact same profit/loss result in a live account as your demo account.
