XM offers both MetaTrader4 and MetaTrader5 Trading Platforms since March, 2017.

Both Platforms are available for all account types including Micro, Standard and XM Zero Accounts.

Most of the Trading Conditions between “XM MT4″ and XM MT5” are the same, but there are several differences between them.

  • MetaTrader4 doesn’t offer Stock CFDs, but MT5 does offer 180 Stock CFDs.
  • MetaTrader4 isn’t available on WebTrader, MT5 is available.
  • The maximum leverage on XM MT5 is only 1:500. For XM MT4, the leverage is available up to 1:1000.

More than the above, MetaTrader5 trading platform’s specification has been much more updated than the MetaTrader4.
