On FBS MetaTrader4 and MetaTrader5 trading accounts, you can hold open positions as long as you want.

There is no limit on period you can hold one position.

Although, you may want to know possible cost of holding positions for a long time.

“Swap” or “Overnight Financing” can be charged to all open positions held overnight. Swap will occur at 00:00(but not precisely) in MetaTrader server time.

Addition to profit and loss of your trades, “Swap” needs to be also considered for your tradings.

Swap Points can be “Credited” and “Charged”

Swap Points can be your profit or loss, depends on the direction of your positions and symbol.

You can find if the Swap Point is minus(charge) or not on MetaTrader4/5 trading platform directly.

To find out how much are the “Swap Points”, please right click on “Symbols”, select a symbol and click on “Properties”.
