XM has its own limit of “number of positions” which you can have at the same time.

The limitation is 200 positions.

Although, traders can open over 200 positions at the same time on XM MT4 and MT5, in this case XM support team may contact the trader to request for decreasing the number of positions.

Normally, if you failed to follow the request within 24 hours, XM may disable trading ability on the account temporary.

The limitation is set in order to avoid too much load on XM’s trading server which can possibly cause malfunction on the service.

*The maximum open position(200 positions) is set per trader, but not per trading account.
*It includes pending orders, but not only existing open positions.
*Even if you don’t have enough funds to place orders, your EA will continue sending orders(message to XM trading servers) when your EA hasn’t been disabled.
