Question: How/where can I check order execution models of my MT4/MT5 trading accounts?
In order to check the execution model used for your trading account, you will first need to login to your trading account on MT5.
Then, please right click on the “Market Watch” window and click “Symbols”.
You can find out the execution model of the symbol you have selected in the specified field below.
Unlike MT4, there are 4 different execution models available on MT5 platform which are: (MT4 has Instant and Market Executions only)
- Market Execution
- Instant Execution
- Request Execution
- Exchange Execution
Each execution model has different process of execution. Such as being executed by the broker or the exchange, and executed at the market price or the price decided by the broker etc.
The execution model for your MT5 trading account is decided by your Forex broker. It may be different by the symbol you trade and the trading account types you choose.
You cannot change the execution models by yourself.
