Question: How to see other investors' Forex trading activities on MT5 (MetaTrader5) trading platform?
In order to find out the activities of other Forex traders, the market liquidity and price movements, there are mainly 2 ways to monitor such data in real-time.
Depth of Market
“Depth of Market” is used to see the current available market liquidity and its depth.
You can open this board on MT5, by right clicking on “Market Watch” window and select “Depth of Market”.
The below board shows the “Depth of Market”, and you can see the real-time available trading volume(Market Liquidity) in the “Volume” column at each specific market price.
You can also directly place trades including pending orders using the board.
“Depth of Market” board is useful to see the available market liquidity of each market price in real-time.
Time & Sales
“Time & Sales” board, on the other hand, shows every single trading activities(executed orders) in real time.
You can see the time, volume, direction and also the market price which the trade is executed.
The “Time & Sales” board looks like below.
By referring to this board, you can see the activities of other market participants, and understand what kind of traders(large, medium or small) are participating the market.
It is a useful board to know the flow of the market and other traders’ activities.
