The answer is, it depends.

Land-FX has acquired the UK’s FCA Financial License in June 2016, but the company which has got the license is “Land-FX UK Ltd”  in United Kingdom.

The UK FCA license is not given to “Land Prime Ltd”, the New Zealand FMA regulated company.

You can find the details from the bottom of the official website as below.

And you may have already noticed though, the the NZ “Land Prime Ltd” is not a member of FSCS, but “Land-FX UK” is.

So in case you have opened your trading account which is under Land-FX in NZ, then the 75,000 GBP Compensation available from FSCS is not your case unfortunately.

Also, Land-FX had been regulated by the FMA in NZ only until the June in 2016. So all trading accounts should be under NZ entity.

So the answer is, no trading account is opened under FCA regulation yet in June 2016.

To summarize the company differences:

• Land Prime Ltd, FMA regulated in New Zealand
• Land-FX UK Ltd, FCA regulated in United Kingdom

And the NZ Land Prime is the one which has been active over the years.

Land-FX UK under FCA

Although, Land-FX has just acquired the FCA License(the hardest license to acquire) in June, 2016. So you may be able to open FCA regulated trading account soon with Land-FX.

In order to find out if you are opening account under NZ FMA or UK FCA, you will need to read through the “Terms and Conditions” offered by Land-FX in the process of your account opening.

The process is made through European IP address in June, 2016 after the company has acquired the UK license.

As you can see, the company name is specified as Land Prime Ltd, which is a New Zealand company regulated by FMA but not FCA in UK.

This means that the account will be opened under NZ entity.

Land-FX has just acquired the FCA license, so we are currently still awaiting for Land-FX to make it available UK accounts soon.
