This means that 1Market works to prevent financial fraud, money laundering and identity theft.
1Market is required by law to have all its potential customers fully verify their identity by providing 1Market with identity documents.
This procedure is called “Know Your Customer” or “KYC” (for short).
What identity documents should you send?
As part of the KYC process, 1Market is required to request the following documentation from you:
1. Identity document with photograph issued by the State
1Market needs you to provide them with a clear and fully visible copy of the front and back of an identity document issued by the State.
It can be a driving license, an identity document, a passport or an official travel document.
2. Proof of residence
To validate your place of residence, 1Market needs you to send them a recent bank statement or utility bill with your name and address clearly visible.
It is essential that the invoice you upload has been issued in the last 3 months prior to the day you requested to open your trading account.
Here are some examples of bills 1Market supports: a landline phone bill, an electric bill, a gas bill, a credit card statement, a mortgage payment statement, or a bank statement.
If you currently live on a rental basis, it will be sufficient to provide 1Market with your rental agreement.
Make sure all documents are legible and include the following information:
- Expedition date.
- Your full residence address.
- The seal, name or logo of the authority that issued the document.
- Your full name, including first and last names.
3. Credit Card Information
1Market requires a clear copy of the front and back of the credit card that you used to fund your account.
You can cover all the numbers on the card except the last four digits of the card.
Make sure your full name (first and last name) and the expiration date of the card are clearly visible on your credit card.
Due to regulatory requirements regarding the KYC procedure, in order to activate your account, 1Market requires that you send them all this documentation within 72 hours from the moment you register.

Sending 1Market your documents is a very simple process.

- Email your documentation.
- Check your email inbox. Reply to the message that 1Market will send you and attach your identity documents.
Please note that 1Market will only accept clear, legible identity documents with correct information.
All your data must be clearly visible.
If you upload any false or incorrect documents, 1Market may block your account or even cancel it.
