Question: What does “Deals” indicate on MT5’s Market Watch window?
The parameter “Deals” shows “the number of deals executed during the current session”.
The current session is literally the moment, so if you see 12345 in the section, that means that 12345 of orders have been executed in that moment by market participants.
Please note that the number of “Deals” shown in the “Details” tab only covers the data within the same market, as in the market created by the liquidity provider.
Thus the data doesn’t include the numbers from other Forex brokers or other liquidity providers.
For your information, “Deals Volume” shows “the total volume of deals executed during the current session”.
It also only includes the data within the same market liquidity.
If you like to get into more details of “the number of deals executed during the current session”, you may refer to “time & sales” board from Depth of Market, where you can see every single executed order with details in real-time.
