Question: What's "Allow WebRequest for listed URL" option on MT5 (MetaTrader5) expert adviser tab?
By enabling the “Allow WebRequest for listed URL” option and adding certain trusted URLs, certain EAs can send and receive information to websites using “GET” and “POST” requests.
This function is available so Expert Advisers can enhance functionalities.
There are many EAs that don’t need any URLs to transfer information, and for security reasons, you are recommended to not add any URLs unless you trust the source and programs.
If you like to add URLs, please go to “Tools” → “Options” → “Expert Advisers” tab, and check the box of “Allow WebRequest for listed URL” then type the URL in the box below.
*If you haven’t added any programs(EAs) that will utilize this option “WebRequest”, then adding URLs to this list doesn’t enhance functionalities of your EAs.
To delete an address from the trusted list, select it and press “Delete”.
