A proxy server is an intermediate between the trader’s computer and the trade server.

For your information, Proxy Server is different from API(Application Programming Interface), as API is a name of the program which works as a middleman between servers ad users to extract certain information from other trading servers and send them to the users.

Proxy Server is mostly used by internet providers or by local networks.

If you are not in need of using a Proxy Server for your trading, then you may not need to seek for that option for your MT5.

If you have a proxy server which you like to enable on your MT5 trading platform, please go to “Tools”→”Options”→”Server” and check the box of “Enable Proxy Server.

Then go to “Proxy…”, so you can login and enable your Proxy Server for your MT5.
