Question: What is "Request Execution" mode on MT4/MT5 trading platforms?
If your Forex broker applies “Request Execution” model on MT5 platform, a market order is executed at the price previously received from a broker.
Prices for a certain market order are requested from the broker before the order is sent.
After the prices have been received, order execution at the given price can be either confirmed or rejected.
This execution type is new on MT5 and doesn’t exist on MetaTrader4.
For your information, there are 4 different execution types which are:
- Instant Execution
- Request Execution
- Market Execution
- Exchange Execution
The execution types cannot be chosen by traders, but it is already decided by your Forex broker.
Some Forex brokers change execution models depending on the trading account types.
