Question: What does "Bank" column indicates in MT5's Market Watch window?
The “Bank” column in the “Market Watch” window shows “the provider of the financial instrument liquidity”, as in the name of liquidity provider of the specific instrument.
For example, if the Liquidity Provider of your Forex broker is “J.P Morgan”, then it may specify the name of the liquidity provider in the column.
The liquidity providers maybe different by the symbols.
Although if you are using a Demo account or your Forex broker disabled the option, you cannot see the name of the “Bank” as below.
The display of the name of banks need to be enabled from your Forex broker’s side.
Liquidity Providers of your Forex broker
If your Forex broker is a Market Maker which liquidated the market by itself and counter-orders clients’ orders, then the liquidity provider of your account would be the Forex broker.
If your Forex broker isn’t a Market Maker, then there is normally a few or many more liquidity providers connected to its platform to liquidate the market.
