According to the statement of CySEC, when it comes to Cryptocurrency and its tradings, there is no:

  • Specific EU regulatory framework governing
  • Coverage by MiFID
  • Scope of the CIFs’ MiFID regulated activities
  • Rights given to traders to report to the Cyprus Financial Ombudsman in case of a dispute
    with the firm

CySEC also mentions that trading on Virtual Currencies are not appropriate for all investors. Thus, you are recommended to take very close attention to its activities and product specifications provided by your broker.
