Please be reminded that on Saturday, the 23rd of September 2017, the New Zealand Parliamentary Elections will take place.
This is a major political event that is expected to cause impact on the financial markets and may result in adverse trading conditions such as high volatility, price gaps/spikes, lack of liquidity and widened spreads.
In light of the above, please be informed that on Friday the 22nd of September 2017 at 17:00 GMT time, the margin requirements for all NZD Forex pairs will be set at 1% (1:100 leverage).
This will be applicable to all new and existent positions, and to all accounts no matter their current leverage.
Furthermore, please be informed that HotForex will continuously monitor the reactions of the market as this event unfolds and further restrictions to the standard market conditions might apply.
