Olymp Trade Helps Flood Victims Survive

This time, the disaster response team came to Indonesia to distribute aid packages among the flood survivors.

The beginning of 2021 was challenging for many Indonesians.

As if the pandemic was not enough, nature went crazy.

Multiple climatic disasters attacked the country within a short period, contributing to each other’s damage.

These catastrophes included devastating earthquakes, massive landslides, and deadly floods caused by record rainfalls.

As a result, hundreds of people were displaced and lacked basic necessities.

One of the worst-hit areas was South Kalimantan.

This province in the southeastern part of Borneo island saw the water level rising to as high as 3 meters.

Here, over 3,500 houses were submerged, with over 11,500 residents affected.

When such things happen, Olymp Trade cannot just stand by and watch people struggle to survive.

This respected NPO works side-by-side with the well-known Amil Zakat organization supporting children in need and their families.

Aid Packages Arrive in Refugee Camp

The Olymp Trade/DT Peduli joint campaign addressed Kali Besar Village in Kurau District.

Here, all 230 houses were flooded.

On February 15ー21, our team distributed hundreds of aid packages to meet these people’s most urgent needs.

Apart from rice, oil, sugar, and other staple foods, the flood survivors were happy to receive other must-haves, including hygiene kits.

The families with infants and kids got baby formula, diapers, and school supplies.

Due to this aid, many households could restock their supplies.
