These events can significantly affect the Forex market.
Choose and track the ones that are most important to you.
Last week, trades on the main currency pairs were very active. The news feed was quite eventful. The Bank of England kept the key interest rate at the previous level of 0.50%. The regulator said that the next raising of the interest rate would be made gradually. The central bank plans to assess the future flow of economic reports. The dollar index moved away from annual highs amid a weak inflation report in the US.
In the upcoming trading week, we recommend you to pay attention to the following macroeconomic events and reports.
May 14th, Monday
On Monday, the news feed will be fairly calm.
The publication of important economic reports is not planned.
We recommend you to pay attention to the speeches of the FOMC representatives.
May 15th, Tuesday
On Tuesday, we expect the publication of important economic reports:
- Minutes of the meeting on monetary policy at 04:30 (GMT+3:00);
- Industrial production in China at 05:00 (GMT+3:00);
- Data on GDP of Germany at 09:00 (GMT+3:00);
- Statistics on the labor market in the UK at 11:30 (GMT+3:00);
- A report on retail sales in the US at 15:30 (GMT+3:00).
May 16th, Wednesday
On Wednesday, investors’ attention will be focused on the following statistics:
- GDP of Japan at 02:50 (GMT+3:00);
- The consumer price index of Eurozone at 12:00 (GMT+3:00);
- Statistics on the real estate market in the US at 15:30 (GMT+3:00);
- Crude oil inventories in the US at 17:30 (GMT+3:00).
May 17th, Thursday
On Thursday, a report on the Australian labor market will be published at 04:30 (GMT+3:00).
At 15:30 (GMT+3:00) we expect the index of production activity from the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
May 18th, Friday
The trading week will end with the publication of reports on inflation and retail sales in Canada at 15:30 (GMT+3:00).
