These events can significantly affect the Forex market.

Choose and track the ones that are most important to you.

On Friday, the US published an optimistic report on the labor market. In January, 200,000 new jobs were created in the non-agricultural sector of the country, which is higher by 8.7% than the market expectations. The unemployment rate remained at the same level of 4.1%. The increase in the average hourly wage justified the expectations of experts and amounted to 0.3%. At the same time, the indicator for December was revised upwards to 0.4%. These events support the demand for the American currency.

In the upcoming trading week, we recommend you to pay attention to the following macroeconomic events and reports.

February 5th, Monday

On Monday, we expect a series of indexes on business activity in Germany and the Eurozone at 10:55 (GMT+2:00) and 11:00 (GMT+2:00), respectively.

At 11:30 (GMT+2:00) the data on business activity in the services sector of Great Britain will be released.

At 17:00 (GMT+2:00), the index of business activity in the non-manufacturing sector of the US from the ISM will be published.

February 6th, Tuesday

On Tuesday, the key event will be the press conference of the Reserve Bank of Australia at 05:30 (GMT+2:00). It is expected that the regulator will leave the interest rate at the previous level of 1.50%.

We recommend you to pay attention to the following economic reports:

  • Retail sales in Australia at 02:30 (GMT+2:00);
  • The index of business activity in Canada from Ivey at 17:00 (GMT+2:00);
  • Statistics on the labor market in New Zealand at 23:45 (GMT+2:00).

February 7th, Wednesday

On Wednesday, investors’ attention will be focused on the meeting of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand at 22:00 (GMT+2:00).

Experts expect that the Central Bank will leave the interest rate unchanged at 1.75%.

Important economic reports:

  • Industrial production volume in Germany at 09:00 (GMT+2:00);
  • Crude oil inventories in the US at 17:30 (GMT+2:00).

February 8th, Thursday

On Thursday, the Bank of England will meet at 14:00 (GMT+2:00).

It is expected that the regulator will leave the key interest rate unchanged at 0.50%.

The Central Bank will also publish a report on inflation in the country.

  • The trade balance of China at 07:04 (GMT+2:00);
  • The number of jobless claims in the US at 15:30 (GMT+2:00).

February 9th, Friday
