Today, JustForex team of financial analysts has prepared a new review of events in the upcoming week. These events can significantly affect the Forex market. Choose and track the ones that are most important to you.

Last week the majors showed mixed results. The dollar index (#DX) stayed at the previous levels and completed the trading week with a slight increase (+0.3%). The pound showed the best results. GBP/USD rose by more than 400 points. The currency of Great Britain renewed the annual maximum.

In the upcoming trading week, we recommend you to pay attention to the following macroeconomic events and reports.

Monday, September 18th

On Monday, the news background will be quite eventful. At 12:00 (GMT+3:00) a report on inflation in the Eurozone will be published.

At 18:00 (GMT+3:00) the head of the Bank of England Carney will give a speech.

Tuesday, September 19th

On Tuesday during the Asian trading session, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) Monetary Policy Meeting Minutes will appear at 04:30 (GMT+3:00).

We recommend you to pay attention to the following economic reports:

  • The ZEW Economic Sentiment in Germany and the Eurozone at 12:00 (GMT+3:00);
  • Statistics on the real estate market in the US at 15:30 (GMT+3:00);
  • The data on trade in the USA at 15:30 (GMT+3:00).

Wednesday, September 20th

On Wednesday, the news background will be very eventful. During the Asian trading session, we expect a number of important statistical data on the trade balance of New Zealand and Japan at 01:45 (GMT+3:00) and at 02:50 (GMT+3:00), respectively.

At 11:30 (GMT+3:00), the National Statistical Office of Great Britain will publish a report on retail sales in the country.

Economic reports from the USA:

  • Sales in the secondary housing market at 17:00 (GMT+3:00);
  • Crude Oil Inventories at 17:30 (GMT+3:00).
  • At 21:00 (GMT+3:00) there will be a meeting of the US Federal Reserve System.

Most experts believe that the regulator will leave the range of the key interest rate at the previous level of 1.00-1.25%. We recommend paying attention to the comments of the Central Bank representatives and the economic forecasts of the FOMC.

Thursday, September 21st

On Thursday, the attention will be focused on the meeting of the Bank of Japan. Participants of the financial markets expect that the regulator will leave the interest rate unchanged at -0.10%.

We also expect the publication of important economic reports:

  • New Zealand GDP data at 01:45 (GMT+3:00);
  • The index for manufacturing from the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia at 15:30 (GMT+3:00);
  • At 16:30 (GMT+3:00) the head of ECB Draghi will give a speech.

Friday, September 22nd

On Friday, investors’ attention will be focused on the publication of a number of statistics on business activity in Germany and the Eurozone at 10:30 (GMT+3:00) and 11:00 (GMT+3:00).

At 15:30 (GMT+3:00) the reports on inflation and retail sales in Canada will be published.
