The week ahead will be a busy week as investors look to the economic indicators for the month of March.

The data will likely reflect with strong sentiment in the markets as the first quarter comes to an end and will show on the economic performance in the first three months of the year.

The ISM’s manufacturing PMI data will be coming out on Monday amid a slow trading day.

Economists are forecasting that manufacturing activity, as measured by ISM is expected to remain steady, albeit slipping to 60.0 on the index.

This marks a modest decline from 60.8 that was registered the month before.

The increase in the ISM manufacturing activity came amid a rebound in the sector.

However, given the recent announcements of President Trump imposing tariffs on some goods and from China, the sentiment could take a hit. Previous regional manufacturing indexes were seen to remain mixed.

The ISM’s manufacturing index was just shy from February 2011 readings when the index hit a fresh high at 60.9.

Besides the ISM manufacturing data, the ADP private payrolls data will be coming up mid-week.

This will later be followed by the official nonfarm payrolls data due on Friday.

Economists are forecasting that the U.S. unemployment rate fell to 4.0% while the average number of jobs rose just 195k during the month.

Wage growth is expected to post a modest increase of just 0.2% on the month.
