The OPEC and non-OPEC monitoring committee meeting will take place on July 24 in Russia. Six ministers from OPEC and non-OPEC nations including Kuwait, Venezuela, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Oman will meet to discuss the current situation in the oil market.

The monitoring committee might also discuss the possibility to cap Nigeria’s and Libya’s production, which have been exempted from the ongoing oil output cut deal.

In fact, Nigeria and Libya have ramped up production since November, 2016. To this end, market participants believe that the meeting will likely drive oil prices for the next few weeks.
