Theresa May and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker are still negotiating to establish the extent of separation.
While neither UK or EU citizens will be affected in their daily lives, the UK is likely to leave the trade and customs agreements.
Analysts expect it to take roughly 3 years to sign a deal and complete the transition.
