Question: Why the "Time in "Market Watch" window of MT5 isn't the current time?
The “Time” displayed in the “Market Watch” window on MT5 platform shows “the last quote arrival time”.
It is the time which the most latest market price displayed is quoted at.
It follows the time of the MT5 trading server time, which is fixed to GMT+2 and GMT+3 during Summer Time.
The trading server time of both MetaTrader4 & 5 is adjusted to the closing time of New York market.
When the NY exchange market closes, the trading server time of MetaTrader reaches to 00:00.
Unfortunately, you can not change this server time and it is the same for all Forex brokers.
The “Time” shown in the Market Watch maybe different by each symbol, as some symbols might have delays when quoting.
For your information, the “Time” is stopped, when the contract is expired of a symbol and it is not receiving any quotes from the trading server.
