This depends on your card, but there are some common reasons:
- You might have gone over your daily transaction limit.
- Your card might have expired.
- You might have entered incorrect card details, such as an invalid card number, expiry date or CVV code. You could check again and make sure everything is correct.
- Your card might not be authorized by the issuer. Make sure your card can be used for online transactions and that there aren’t any protections in place which stop it from being used online.
- You might have tried to deposit a larger amount than that available in your account.
If none of these are the reason that your card was declined, you should contact your card issuer, and of course you can speak with the support team for any assistance.
