Today’s Important Indicators – Data wise today there’s enough news to have an impact, notably UK services PMI, US ADP and ISM.

Asian Session Market Movers

Ranges remained tight for currencies vs. the USD overnight. Analysts spent most of the session looking for reasons as to why nothing was happening.

However it is FOMC Minutes day in the US today, this may be the reason for the subdued moves; markets may also be waiting for the Trump-Xi meeting on Thursday and Friday.

USD/JPY saw some minor attention reaching a high of 110.90 but then made its way back down and remained unchanged for the session.

The Bank of Japan reduced the amount of 1-3 year JGBs it purchased, as they advised they would do in April.

EUR, CHF, GBP, AUD, NZD strengthened slightly against the greenback, but still within the confines of a tight range. Gold, oil also remains within tight ranges.
