To change your MT4 password, please log into your MT4 Platform, click on “Tools”, then “Options”, Click on “Change” next to the password Tab.

Please enter your current password and enter a new one, then click OK.

You can also request for the change of password in XM’s client portal.

To login to XM’s client portal, please go to XM Official Website.

In case you are using a Demo account, you can also open another demo account if that is fine for you as there is no limitation on the number of Demo account you hold.

“Investor Password” in MT4

There are always two different passwords for your MT4 account, which are: normal password and “Investor Password”.

The normal password is the one you will use for logging into your account and trade.

The “Investor password” is different, as it is used for another person(third party) who you wish to share the account without giving permission to place orders or change settings.

So you can simply let someone else see your account directly, without worrying about them manipulating your own account.

To use this, you can just give the account number and the investor password to another person.

You can also the change the Investor password itself if you wish.(the same steps above)

You can’t login to MT4 or Client Portal?

If you have forgotten the passwords for MT4/MT5 accounts or XM’s client portal, you can always reset the password.

To reset the password of your client portal, click on “Forgot your password?” at XM’s member login.

To reset the password for your MT4/MT5 accounts, you can do it in the client portal.
