How can I restore/recover setting information of MT5 (MetaTrader5) after uninstalling the program?

You may want to be careful when you uninstall a MT5 trading platform, because it will eliminate all data and information from your hard disk.

Although, if you haven’t deleted “Personal Data” of the MT5(as in you have chosen to not delete the certain information), then you can restore all settings and information of your uninstalled MT5 platform.

This choice can be made when you uninstall your MT5 from PC in the below window.

If you check the box of “Delete user personal data”, then all setting and data of your MT5 will be deleted at the same time.

If you uncheck the box, then the data of your MT5 will remain saved in your PC’s hard disk and only the MT5 application will be eliminated.

The platform can later be restored with all its settings and information by installing it in the same directory.

*Please note that there is no limitations to the number of MT5 platform you can install to your PC, but MT5 application may consume large amount memories and RAM.
