Question: MT5 (MetaTrader5) webtrader opened an account automatically. Whose account is this and why?
MetaQuotes has added this new feature in December 2016.
This Auto Generation of Demo Accounts is solely intended to let users tryout the new MT5 trading platform immediately.
MT5 account which is automatically created on your MT5 Web-terminal is “Demo Account” with virtual money in it.
The account doesn’t belong to anyone or any brokers, but provided from MetaQuotes directly.
As you may have already known, MetaQuotes doesn’t provide brokerage service, but the trading platforms. You cannot open a Live account with MetaQuotes but you can open Demo accounts.
Thus the spread and market prices you will see on the MT5 Demo account created by MetaQuotes, may not be the same condition as your MT5 broker’s.
If you like to see the real trading condition of your MT5 Forex broker, then you are recommended to signup and open live accounts with your MT5 broker.
