“Fill or Kill” policy means that an order can be filled only in the specified volume.

As in, if the necessary amount of a financial instrument is currently unavailable in the market, the order will not be executed.

There are 3 different fill policies available on MetaTrader5 platform, which are:

1. Fill or Kill
2. Immediate or Cancel
3. Return

The fill policy can be chosen by the trader though, sometimes it is restricted to one or two of them depending on your Forex broker’s settings.

In order to find out/change the fill policy of your order, please open the “order window” and see the drop down menu in the specified field below.

This “Fill Policy” is different from “Execution Models”.

“Fill Policy” is about the market liquidity and execution quality, and “Execution Models” is about the process of execution of each Forex broker.
