Question: Which trading server name should I choose on MT5 (MetaTrader5) when I login to my account?
The trading server which you need to choose to login should have been allocated already when you have opened the trading account.
Normally, you should have received an email with login credentials in it from your Forex broker.
Also when you open MT5 trading platform which you have downloaded from your broker, the server name available should be very limited in the drop-down list.
Sometimes there are only one or two choices of trading servers of your Forex broker, so you just need to try them and see which one is the best suited for your trading account.
No Server Name Available?
If there is no specified server name in the login window of MT5, then you need to add your server to the list.
To do that, please go to “File”→”Open an Account” and type the server name which you are looking for in the below field.
If the trading server exists, then it will appear and be added to the list of trading servers.
If it shows n/a in the “ping” column next to the server name, that means there is no connection from the trading server and isn’t available.
