Question: How to calculate margin requirement for Commodity CFDs on MT4 (MetaTrader4)?

On the HotForex MT4 accounts, you will be required the fixed margins for trading of Commodity CFDs.
Despite of any higher leverage you have set for your trading account, the margin requirements for all commodity CFDs are fixed and won’t be lower than that.
Here is the required margins for every 1 lot open position:

| Copper | 1500 USD |
| Corn | 700 USD |
| Palladium | 1500 USD |
| Platinum | 1500 USD |
| Sugar | 700 USD |
| Wheat | 1400 USD |
The above are the margin requirements for 1 standard lot position though, of course you can trade with smaller volume with smaller margins in your HotForex MT4 account.
Please be careful with the margin requirements, as it may be different from the leverage setting of your trading account.
The maximum leverage you have set for your trading account will be applied to only the majority of Forex currency pairs.
