Question: How to modify/delete "Pending Orders" on MT5 (MetaTrader5) trading platform?
Should the need arise for you to modify or delete a pending order that you have placed, locate the order in the “Terminal”(or ToolBox) window at the bottom of your MT5 screen.
Now please go to “Trade” tab where you can see all existing open positions in the account, and you need to find the order(position) which you like to modify or delete.
Then Right-click or double-click on the order you wish to modify or delete.
A pop-up menu will appear that will allow you to select “Modify” or “Delete” the Order.
The “Order” window will appear and enable you to change the price at which the order is triggered, to re-set the expiry date of the order, to set stop-loss and take-profit levels or to delete the order altogether.
You may also delete an order by clicking the “X” symbol at the bottom right corner of the window.
Modifying directly on the price chart
If you are not so good at numbers and the above process is too complicated for you, then you can also modify “Pending Orders” from the price chart too.
Please look at the below price chart.
The green line is where the position is executed.
The red lines above and below are the “Take Profit” and “Stop Loss” lines accordingly.
As specified in the white box appeared next to the mouse, you can drag it up and down to modify the pending orders easily, directly on the price chart.
But you should b careful with the price where you leave the mouse, as it is possible to execute your position unexpectedly just because you have made a mistake moving the mouse.
