“No connection” error can be found at the right bottom corner of MT4 screen, when you have not logged into your account correctly.
There are some solutions that may help you in this situation.
1. Re-scan the Server
Please click at the right bottom corner of the MT4 screen, and select “Re-scan Servers”.
The MT4 will start looking for another server with better connection for you and connect.
This can also improve the connection quality.
2. Re-log in
You might have selected wrong server than the server FBS has offered when you have opened the account.
In this case, please login to your account correctly and that should solve your problem.
FBS provides server IP address, but not server names when opening accounts, so please just copy&paste the IP address you are provided into MT4 login screen.
3. Internet Connection
If you have tried above solutions and still getting the error message “No connection”, you may not have an internet connection.
Please make sure that you are connected to internet in this case.
Using MT4 from other brokers
Every broker uses the same MT4 and you can even install the official MT4 from MetaQuotes and use it for all brokers in the world though, sometimes some brokers offer its customized MT4 from their website.
If you are using a MT4 from other brokers, you may not be able to connect other servers than the brokers’.
In this case, please install the MT4 from FBS official website or MetaQuotes.
